SLUMP AT ABERCROMBIE, N.D.

Slumping threatens the Fort Abercrombie Historic Site on the Red River of the North, just east of Abercrombie, North Dakota. The river passes through a broad meander here, with cutbank erosion helping to induce bank instability.

As is common, this slump terminates in an earthflow-like form.
