Family Alucitidae: Many-plume moths

Diagnosis: f/hw divided into six plumes.

Diversity: Worldwide, 130 species, three species occurs in North America, one in North Dakota.

Checklist number: 2313.

Biology: Larvae are borers in fruits, flowers, buds, or stems. Adults rest with outspread wings.
