Ethmia albicostella (Beutenmüller 1889)

Common name: listed here as ‘Pale edged ethmia.’

Hodges #: 1001.

Identification: Rfw 11.6 mm, fw with Rs4 running to costa, wing nearly evenly bicolored; proboscis with scale covered base.

Similar species: 978, 980, 987, 992, 999, and 1003.

Distribution: Norther Great Plains, south-westward in Rockies into Mexico.

Hosts: Lithospermum spp.– puccoons.
