Euxoa velleripennis (Grote 1874)

Common name: Fleece winged dart.

Hodges #: 10803.

Identification: Rfw 15.02 mm; fw ground color sooty black, darker black transverse lines indicated at costs, also darker before and between ordinary spots; hw white with dark terminal line (%%) or with  fuscous outer margin and subterminal line (&&).  All tibiae setose, frons with a raised ring.   Generic characters of Euxoa

Similar species: 10726, 10749, 10801, 10805, 10865, 10926, 10951, and 11047.  

Distribution: southern Canada and temperate North America, east of the Rockies.

Hosts: larval hosts have not been described.
