Oegoconia quadripuncta (Haworth 1828)

Common name: listed here as ‘leaf litter moth.’

Hodges #: 1134.

Identification: Rfw 5.28 mm, antennae without pectin, abdomen with transverse bands of setae, female retinaculum a series of forward directed scales between Sc and R, and backward directed scales on Sc.

Similar species: 1659, 1662, 1662.1, 1665, and 1678.

Distribution: southern Canada and northern United States, also Eurasia.

Hosts: larvae are detritivores in leaf litter in the Old World.
