Plutella xylostella (Linnaeus 1758)

Common name: Diamondback moth.

Hodges #: 2366.

Identification: Rfw 6.12 mm, inner margin of fw white with wood-brown over-scales, proboscis without scales.

Similar species: none known from ND.

Distribution: introduced from Eurasia, found throughout U. S. and southern Canada.

Hosts: larvae feed on Brassicaceae– mustards, economically important pest of Canola.
