Choristoneura pinus Freeman 1953

Common name: Jack pine budworm.

Hodges #: 3643.

Identification: Rfw 9.6 mm, fw mottled red-brown, male without costal fold, hw fuscous; hind tibiae fuscous with pale bands.

Similar species: 3637, 3638, 3648.

Distribution: southern Canada and temperate United States.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Pinus sp. – Pines.
