Pediasia trisecta (Walker 1856)

Common name: Large sod webworm moth.

Hodges #: 5413.

Identification: Rfw 14.2 mm, fw tawny with gray-blue along inner margin; fringe brown, cut by white opposite veins; proboscis with scales at base.

Similar species: 5379, 5380, 5381, 5417, and 5435.

Distribution: southern Canada and temperate United States.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Poaceae– grasses.
