Oidaematophorus mathewianus (Zeller 1874)

Common name: listed here as ‘Mathew’s plume-moth.’

Hodges #: 6166.

Identification: Rfw 11.4 mm, fw without black costal scale tufts or costal spot above base of notch; hw 1st ‘feather’ lanceolate, 3rd feather lacking black scale tuft; tibiae with tufts of black scales.

Similar species: 6184, 6234.

Distribution: southern Canada and western U. S., eastward in north to Maine.
