Itame pustularia (Guenée 1857)

Common name: Lesser maple spanworm.

Hodges #: 6273.

Identification: Rfw 13.5 mm, pure white specimens distinguished by slightly angulate hws, and palpi projecting forward beyond eyes and beak-like.

Similar species: 6667, 6678, 6965.

Distribution: southern Canada and eastern temperate United States.

Hosts: Acer spp.– maples, sometimes injurious.
