Haematopis grataria (Fabricius 1798)

Common name: Chickweed geometer.

Hodges #: 7146.

Identification: Rfw 11.8 mm, fw apex acute, hw angulate with vein M2 present; wings dull orange with pink transverse lines.

Similar species: 7147.

Distribution: southern Canada and U. S.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Stellaria– chickweeds and Polygonium– smartweeds/ knotweeds.
