Hemileuca nevadensis Stretch 1872

Common name: Nevada buck moth.

Hodges #: 7731.

Identification: Rfw 27.4 mm, fw pale median area as wide or wider than dark basal area, abdomen tipped with red.

Similar species: 7730– not known from ND.

Distribution: western U. S. (except Pacific coast) and northern Great Plains, eastwartd into western Minnesota.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Salix– willow.
