Darapsa myron (Cramer 1779)

Common name: Hog sphinx.

Hodges #: 7885.

Identification: Rfw 23.8 mm, outer margin of fw sinuate, groundcolor mottled green.  Pro-tibiae without spine-like setae.

Similar species: 7886.

Distribution:  United States and southern Canada east of the Rockies.

Hosts: Larvae feed on Parthenocissus spp.-- Virginia creeper/ Woodbine and Viburnum spp.

Note: In the picture at right, the Hodges number should be 7885.
