Notodontidae: Notodontinae, Dicranurini

Identification: Rfw 17.9 mm, groundcolor white with scattered metallic blue and yellow scales; proximal boundary of median fascia nearly straight from costa to inner margin.  Note small terminal dots of both wings.  Disc of thorax contrasting with ptagiae and head.  Proboscis absent, palpi very short, eyes without hair, metatibiae with a single pair of spurs. 

Similar species: 7936, 7937, 7939, 7941.

Distribution: southern Canada and northern United States.

Hosts: Larval feed on Poplars- Populus spp. and Willows- Salix spp.
