Cool for Now

The cooler weather that has now moved into North Dakota will gradually impact much of the Midwest.  From Ohio to North Dakota and from upper Michigan to Nebraska, daily maximum will generally be below average for the next week, at least in some parts of that large area.  A ridge of high pressure that was situated over the center of the lower 48 states, has now reformed in the Pacific Northwest.  This will allow for a cooler flow from the northwest to impact much of the corn belt, at least for the short term  I am still expected a shift toward much warmer temperatures to begin again next week.  Although some moisture will be present this week, our next chance of more widespread moisture will likely wait until that warmer air moves in next week.
