Cool End of April

The last 10 days of April were mostly cool and damp, but in the end, the Month of April still finish with monthly temperatures near or even a bit above average.  It was a classic example of monthly averages not necessarily being a good indicator for agriculture.  Having an average or warmer than average April is a good thing in our climate, but the timing was all wrong with the first half warm and the second half cold.   The exact opposite would of course been a much better scenario.  May, like April is going to start off on the warm note which is very much needed to get #Plant17 restarted, but some cool periods are lurking in the future.
