The cooler temperatures that have been in the region the past few days look to be continuing for a while longer. Granted, not every day will record temperatures below average, but as a general rule, we should experience more cooler than normal days than warmer than normal days perhaps as long as the rest of this month. There is a ridge of high pressure over the southwestern portion of the United States. You may have heard on the news about how hot it has been in the deserts in the southwestern part of the country, even by their standards. It is that ridge of high pressure that is allowing cool Canadian air to frequent our area and this pattern should last for a while.
