Soil Water

Western North Dakota, especially the area either west or south of the Missouri River is definitely an exception, but most of eastern North Dakota the subsoil moisture is still at or above average.  Yes, there are going to be exceptions, but once you get down to around 8 inches or lower there is moisture, it is just not all plants have been able to get to that point, plus, different soil types makes the level of more adequate moisture vary.  This means that the dry conditions that many of you are experiencing will go away quickly with a good rain or two, the problem is that each day that goes by the soil moisture goes deeper and of course the obvious we need that rain to come.
