Although yesterday was a smidge warmer than previous days and today should also be about as warm as Monday or a couple of degrees warmer. Overall, the below average temperatures that have been in place for the past week looks to be holding strong over the northern plains for at least another week, if not a bit longer than even that. In fact, another reinforcing shot of cold air will be moving through the region tomorrow. That will of course keep the region on the cooler side of normal, but on a positive note also trigger off some showers and thunderstorms. After tomorrow, the rainfall chances become more isolated once again with the next opportunity for rain coming in on Saturday.
