As of yesterday, soil temperatures at a depth of 4 inches were mostly in the 40s across the region. Plus, there was still frost in the ground in many locations as well. This strong of sunny days that we have been in since Tuesday, plus several more expected, will help warm the soil and eventually get rid of the frost. That frost by the way, is mostly in the 20 to 30 inch depth range. I would expect soil temperatures to get to 50 degrees or higher next week. Air temperatures will during the next several days will remain slightly above average with highs in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. No widespread rain is expected until early next week.
