Pattern Change

We have experienced over two months of mostly above average temperatures.  In fact, the first half of summer from June 1 through July 15 finished as one of the top 10 warmest in most of the region.  As we all know, long stretches of above or below normal temperature pattern always come to an end eventually and there are signs that the second half of summer will not be as warm as the first half.  In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if the second half of summer finishes below normal, so a noticeable change in the weather may be coming.  Of course, we went from well below to well above this past spring, so quick changes in this region are fairly common.
