Cool to Average 30 days

Even with the very warm temperatures over the weekend, the cooler weather in the past one or two days, in combination with the coolness of late July into early August, most of the this region is at or  below average for temperatures over the past 30 days taken as a whole.  About a month ago I suggested that the second half of summer would finish cooler than the first half as temperatures look to be finishing just a bit below average from mid-July through Labor Day.  That didn’t mean it wouldn’t get hot again, just more days below average than above and it still looks like that may be the case.  We will be finding out soon if that forecast verifies.
