Cold Start to November

The trend this week looks to cold with just light precipitation in most areas..  It is easy to say that the coldest air mass of the season looks to be coming, as each cold front tends to a bit colder than the last one this time of year.  Yet, having said that, the air mass this week looks quite cold for so early in the season.  Because of the lack of snow cover, this area may not get as cold as after the snow storm on October 10, as snow makes temperatures 15-20 degrees colder than non-snow covered areas, but the overall air mass coming should be colder.  Although November is starting cold, I still think the month overall will finish near average for temperatures.
