There is a push of warmer air for the region today. That warm air pushing against the dense cold air that has been in place causes the atmosphere to rise. In turn, we should see some light snow and even some locations with some light rain today. It is another of a series of fairly light precipitation events this area has recorded this month. It doesn’t take much to slick up the roads of course, but a huge pile of snow to remove is not in the cards from this event. On a positive note, the temperatures will be warmer today and these warmer temperatures are expected to last for a couple of days. Average highs are now below freezing so anything in the 30s is above average.
