Sunday afternoon the high temperatures at Hector Int’l was -1 degree. That was just the 13th below zero day during the month of March in Fargo since records started in 1881. Oddly, 3 of those days have been in the past decade with negative highs occurring in early March in 2009 and 2014 as well. In fact, on March 1, 2014, the high was -8 degrees, that was the coldest maximum recorded during March on record. Therefore, most of us have lived through some of the coldest weather the month of March has brought to this area in the past 140 years. Back in 2012 we recorded a very warm March, since then, our Marches have not been very warm.
