Disappearing Snow

Much of North Dakota is now snow free in the sense of not having any snow cover left.  Far western North Dakota was snow free more often than not this past winter, but that snow free zone has shifted east to close to Highway 281.   The eastern one-third of North Dakota into northwestern Minnesota is mostly snow covered, although portions of the far southern Red River Valley and parts of far northeastern North Dakota have very little snow on the ground.  The areas with snow cover, it will likely last for a while as the region, it appears temperature wise, will record more below average days than above average days in the next week or more.
