Virtual Cyberinfrastructure Conference scheduled
Plans are underway for the first statewide Cyberinfrastructure Conference scheduled for March 3. Sponsored by the North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research (ND EPSCoR), the conference is for state university system campuses, tribal colleges and the K-12 community. All conference activities will be delivered via multipoint videoconferencing to participating sites.
The NDSU site for the conference will be in the Memorial Union Ballroom. Conference activities run from 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.
David Givers and Mark Hoffman, ND-EPSCoR project directors, are directing conference activities, which include presentations on networks, hardware and applications; advantages of cyberinfrastructure resources across disciplines and institutions; and opportunities for collaborations.
The aim of the conference is to enhance awareness of how cyberinfrastructure impacts research, teaching and service.
There is no fee to attend the event, but registration is required. Visit the conference website at http://ci.ndepscor.nodak.edu to learn more about the conference and to complete online registration; the registration deadline is Feb. 20.
