NDSU’s Saddle and Sirloin Club to host 89th Little International

The NDSU Saddle and Sirloin Club will host the 89th Little International Livestock Show Feb. 13-14.  More than 300 students help organize the show, the largest student-sponsored event at NDSU.

More than 300 students are involved in organizing the annual Little International Livestock Show, the largest student-sponsored event at NDSU. Students gain experience promoting the agriculture industry while developing leadership and organizational skills. 

Little I features showmanship classes of beef, dairy, sheep and swine, as well as contests for ham curing and public speaking. 

Ray Bartholomay, a farmer and rancher from Sheldon, North Dakota, was selected as Agriculturist of the Year and will be recognized at the Friday Hall of Fame banquet. Bartholomay will be honored for his contributions to the agriculture industry in North Dakota. He has farmed and raised livestock for more than 60 years.
