Sarah Roehl, Major: Nursing, Hometown: St. Cloud, Minn.

What do you recall from being a new student on campus?

“I remember being very excited to be a freshman. Living on campus is definitely a recommendation I would make because it allows you to meet many more people. Most of the friends I have today are people I lived by my freshman year in Weible Hall. It also makes going to class a lot more convenient because you live right next to your classes.”

Favorite experiences:

“Homecoming week is usually my favorite time of the year because there are a lot of fun activities throughout the week. The parade and football game on Saturday are always a highlight of the year. I also enjoy spring at NDSU, it is great to see everyone come out of hibernation and enjoy time outside.”

Future plans:

Working at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., as a registered nurse. She plans to return to school in a few years for an advanced practice degree in nursing.

Student Nurses Association and the College of Pharmacy, Nursing, and Allied Sciences Ambassadors.

“Find a balance. That may be one of your biggest challenges; however, it is absolutely essential. While it is important to dedicate most of your time to your education in college, it is also important to do the things you like. Make sure you find time to do fun things with friends, make trips home to see your family, exercise and chill out to watch TV.”
