NDSU Libraries scheduled to host "Terrible Justice" author

NDSU Libraries is scheduled to host author Doreen Chaky and a discussion of her new book on Thursday, Nov. 14 at 4 p.m. in the Main Library Weber Reading room.

Chaky has been a journalist and freelance writer for several years, writing for local, regional and national magazines and historical publications in the Midwest. “Terrible Justice” is her first book. The book explores relations between the Sioux tribe and the fur traders and explorers they encountered in the 16th century as well as the discord within the tribe.

“Terrible Justice” was chosen as a finalist in competitions held by the Western Writers of America and the University of Nebraska’s Center for Great Plains Studies.
