NDSU to host Red River Women's studies conference

The NDSU Women and Gender Studies program is scheduled to host the Red River Women's Studies conference, titled “Revolutionary Women: an infinite journey,” Friday, Oct. 24, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the NDSU McGovern Alumni Center. 

The program is seeking paper and panel proposals from faculty and students, with a deadline of Oct. 7.

Robin Poor Bear, featured in Public Broadcasting System special, “Kind Hearted Woman,” is scheduled to deliver the keynote address during the lunch hour.

Poor Bear is an Oglala Sioux and a member of North Dakota's Spirit Lake tribe, who speaks on the issues of domestic and sexual abuse.
