Soccer players named to All-Academic Team

Bison women's soccer players Anisha Kinnarath and Tristyn Walczak were named to The Summit League's Academic All-League Team as voted on by the institution's faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors. The team was announced Nov. 26.

Kinnarath and Walczak were among 13 student-athletes named to the team and honored for their academic and athletic performances this season.

To be eligible for the Academic All-League team, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30, completed at least one full academic year at the current institution and participated in 50 percent of their team's competitions.

Kinnarath and Walczak were both Summit League all-tournament team selections this season. Kinnarath, a forward with a 3.56 grade-point average as an exercise science major, is from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Walczak, a defender from Burnsville, Minnesota, is a human development and family sciences and Spanish double major with a 3.79 grade-point average.
