Information Technology Division promotes two

NDSU’s Information Technology Division has promoted two staff members.

Jason Eide has been promoted to manager of enterprise systems in the division’s Enterprise Computing and Infrastructure Department. He joined the department in March 2013 as a system administrator.

Eide has more than 20 years of experience in the information technology field, serving in both private enterprise and higher education. Before coming to NDSU, he was the information technologies manager at the former PRACS Institute in Fargo. He also worked in the banking industry, providing support for hardware, applications and systems at both the Bank of the West and Community First Technologies, Inc. Early in his career, he was director of information technology at North Dakota State College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Before that, he provided computer support for the NDSU Extension Service. Eide earned a bachelor’s degree from NDSU.

Trevor McNeil has been promoted to the position of classroom technologies specialist in the division’s Information Technology Services Department. McNeil joined the department in February 2014 as an audiovisual technician, providing support for technologies in classrooms and computer labs on campus.

Before coming to NDSU, McNeil worked for MultiBand Corp. in Fargo. He earned a bachelor’s degree in management information systems from Minot State University. While attending the university, he also worked at the Computer Store in Minot, North Dakota.
