SHARE

Construction on NDSU’s STEM Classroom and Lab Building continues to move along.

Construction started in summer 2014 and is expected to wrap up by late November. Students will start taking classes in the new building spring semester 2016.

Recent progress

  • Exterior brickwork is nearly complete.
  • Concrete floors continue to be poured on the first level and will be finished in the next few weeks. Interior wall framing is underway.
  • Second floor classrooms on the south side of the building have been drywalled and taped. Painting is expected to start next week in some rooms.
  • Third floor rooms are framed. Some are drywalled and ready for taping.
  • Window frames are installed.

Future parking

CI Nelson was torn down the week of May 25. The area, which is adjacent to the STEM Building construction site, is the future location of an expanded Memorial Union parking lot. Sixty-three spaces will be added.
