Nominations sought for endowed professorships

Nominations are being accepted for the Jordan A. Engberg, Dale Hogoboom and Walter F. and Verna Gehrts Presidential Professorship at NDSU.

The Jordan A. Engberg Presidential Professorship and Dale Hogoboom Presidential Professorship are awarded to faculty who hold the rank of professor with at least eight years of service to NDSU. The recipients also must have a balanced academic record demonstrating excellence in teaching, research and service.

The Walter F. and Verna Gehrts Presidential Professorship is awarded to a faculty member with the rank of associate professor with at least five years of service to NDSU. The recipient also must have a balanced academic record demonstrating excellence in teaching, research and service.

Nominations may come from faculty, unit administrators, chair/head or dean. A nomination letter (no more than two pages), accompanied by a curriculum vita (no more than three pages), should clearly address the nominee’s excellence in all three areas – teaching, research and service.

Nominations and curriculum vitae for all three endowed presidential professorships can be submitted to Craig Schnell, provost and vice president for academic affairs, Old Main 103. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 20.
