State dairy convention to meet Nov. 3

SHARE

Precision technology and building the consumer's trust in dairy are among the topics for the 2015 North Dakota Dairy Convention, scheduled for Nov. 3 at the Baymont Inn and Suites in Mandan, North Dakota.

"Dairy Integrity - It's in Our DNA" is the theme for the 49th annual conference.

"It is the same anniversary as the World Dairy Expo," said J.W. Schroeder, NDSU Extension Service dairy specialist and conference program committee member. "With so much in common, the fact that we have chosen a theme for our convention that resembles the expo's theme to address the growing challenges associated with our changing society is no coincidence."

Other presentation topics include food integrity, using sugars to improve the performance of lactating dairy cattle, succession and tax planning.

In addition to presentations, the conference will include a trade show, annual meeting of the Milk Producers Association of North Dakota and an awards banquet. The Milky Way and Merit awards and Award of Dairy Excellence will be presented.

The conference begins at 8 a.m. with registration.
