NDSU faculty members Herb Snyder, professor and chair of accounting; Jill Zuber, assistant professor of accounting; and Margaret Andersen, professor of accounting, had their paper, "Before and After Fraud in Nonprofits: Changes in Internal Controls in the Wake of Financial Crime," accepted for publication in Strategic Finance.
Using a nationwide survey of nonprofits in the U.S., their research found the majority of those nonprofit organizations that have experienced fraud make significant improvements to their internal controls.
