NDSU students receive awards in communication contest

NDSU students recently received awards in the annual North Dakota Professional Communicators College Communications Contest.

NDSU had five award-winning submissions among the 100 entries from five schools in North Dakota and Minnesota. Participating institutions included NDSU, University of North Dakota, Minot State University, University of Jamestown and Minnesota State University Moorhead. A total of 96 awards were presented in 32 categories.

NDSU award recipients included:

·      Paige Johnson received third place in the Special Articles category

·      Jordan Fremstad, Nate Manning, Nick Foertsch and Grace Garnas received first place in the Special Programming category

·      Manning, Rich Grossman and Lexus LaMotte received honorable mention in the Special Programming category

·      Emily Beaman, received first place in the Single Display Ad category and second place in the Campaign or Series Build Around One Subject category

·      The NDSU COMM 480 Class Team received honorable mention in the Yearbook/Annual Literary Magazine category

The state organization is an affiliate of the National Federation of Press Women, an organization of communication professionals from across the United States.
