Walk for Vision set for NDSU

SHARE

The North Dakota Association of the Blind will host its 18th annual Walk for Vision to be held on the NDSU campus. The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at the Shelly Ellig Indoor Track Building. Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the track's entry area located on 16th Avenue North near the Bison Sports Arena.

Dr. Lance Bergstrom of Fargo is this year’s honorary chair for the event. Bergstrom has helped lead eye care mission trips to Haiti and Indonesia to treat people for eye problems in the rural impoverished communities in those nations.

All proceeds will go toward funding service programs the association offers to people with visual impairments. Donors can choose to sponsor a walker based on distance or choose to donate a set amount. Donations can be made on the association's website by following the instructions after clicking on the donate button.
