SHARE

A school-record 138 NDSU student-athletes were named to the Summit League 2015-16 Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, announced July 5.

For a student-athlete to be selected to the Commissioner’s List of Academic Excellence, they must carry a 3.00 or better cumulative GPA, used a year of eligibility and previously completed one academic year at the nominating institution.

Bison women’s track and field led all programs with 33 honorees on the list.

As a whole, NDSU student-athletes combined for an outstanding 3.37 grade point average in 2015-16. Ten of NDSU’s 14 teams set program records for semester GPA during the most recent academic year.
