NDSU Homecoming 2016 week is set for Sept. 26-Oct. 1. Some of the main events are:
Thursday, Sept. 29
• 7:30 p.m. Homecoming Show and Coronation, Festival Concert Hall
o The show is sponsored by Blue Key Honor Society and Campus Attractions.
Friday, Sept. 30
• 9 a.m. President Dean L. Bresciani's State of the University Address, Festival Concert Hall. Live streaming video of the event will be available.
• 11 a.m. Athletic Hall of Fame luncheon, Holiday Inn
• 5:30 p.m. Homecoming Parade, downtown Fargo
Saturday, Oct. 1
• 7:30 a.m. 5K Run/Walk for Scholarships, NDSU campus
• 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Tailgating for the Homecoming football game, Fargodome
o All fans are welcome to tailgate.
• 1 p.m. Kickoff: NDSU Bison vs. Illinois State Redbirds, Fargodome
Students, faculty, staff and the community are encouraged to participate in all of the week’s activities.
In 2012, President Bresciani assembled a committee to expand participation in Homecoming and celebrate NDSU as a top research institution, in addition to enjoying successful Bison athletics in the Fargo-Moorhead community.
The committee’s goal is to make certain everyone is informed about the variety of events planned. Organizations sponsoring a Homecoming event are invited to submit the information online.
