Bison to play Kansas in NCAA tournament

The NDSU Bison will play the University of Kansas in the first round of the Midwest Region of the 2009 NCAA men’s basketball tournament. The teams are scheduled to meet at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, at the Metrodome in Minneapolis.

The Bison are the 14th seed in the region tournament, while Kansas, the defending national champion, is the third seed.

Tickets for the first and second round games may be purchased immediately online at www.GopherSports.com. Phone orders can be made by calling 1-800-846-7437.

A limited number of NDSU student tickets will be available for purchase with a valid student ID at the Bison Sports Arena ticket office. Cost for student tickets is $78 and is payable by Visa or MasterCard while supplies last. Tickets will be valid for both games in NDSU's session.

The Bison, with a record of 26-6 and the Summit League’s regular season champions, are in their first season of eligibility for the NCAA Division I tournament.
