The NDSU softball team earned Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Team All-Academic Award, while 10 players received Easton/NFCA Scholar Athlete honors for work in the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year.
Collectively, NDSU compiled a 3.340 grade-point average.
Earning NFCA Scholar Athlete honors were infielder Vanessa Anderson, outfielder Courtney Johnson, left fielder Maritza Lopez-Portillo, third baseman Julia Luciano, shortstop Logan Moreland, shortstop Lauren Reimers, catcher Alyssa Reina, center fielder Alex Sobrero, first baseman Jackie Stifter and pitcher Katie Thun.
NDSU finished with a 39-15 record including 17-0 in the Summit League to claim its fifth straight regular season championship. The Bison advanced to the NCAA tournament for the seventh time in the past eight seasons.
