Doctoral Dissertation Assistantships applications sought

SHARE

The North Dakota Experimental Program to Stimulate Competitive Research is calling for Doctoral Dissertation Assistantships proposals. Awardees receive support for up to 24 months to enable students to dedicate time exclusively to dissertation research.

Applications are due by noon, May 25, to the ND EPSCoR office.

Applications must be written by the students with supplemental information provided by their advisors, along with endorsement from their department’s graduate program director and department chair.

The program is designed to increase the completion rate of doctoral students enrolled in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines at North Dakota’s two research-intensive universities – NDSU and the University of North Dakota; and to increase the number of competitive proposals submitted to the National Science Foundation.

North Dakota EPSCoR is a federally and state funded program designed to improve the ability of university researchers to compete more effectively for federal, regional and private research grants in the sciences, engineering and mathematics.

Questions can be directed to Jean Ostrom-Blonigen, project administrator, at jean.ostrom-blonigen@ndsu.edu or Elizabeth Jung, program coordinator, at 231-1048 or elizabeth.jung@ndsu.edu.
