Innovation Challenge final presentations scheduled

A total of 29 student teams are set to compete in the final round of judging for Innovation Challenge ’17 on Thursday, Feb. 23, in the Memorial Union Hidatsa and Rose rooms.

Teams will give 10-minute oral presentations to an independent panel of judges. The teams are competing in four tracks: Agriculture, Product, Social and Service.

The schedule for judging is:

8:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m.   Agriculture track

8:30 a.m.-11:15 a.m.   Service track

10:40 a.m.-3:45 p.m.   Product track

11:30 a.m-2:30 p.m.    Social track

The competition is sponsored by the NDSU Research and Technology Park.

Winners will be announced on Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the awards luncheon. The winner in each category will receive a $5,000 prize, second place is $1,000 and third place is $500. Innovation Challenge Showcase participants also voted for the $1,000 “People’s Choice Award.”
