NDSU’s Memorial Union Gallery is set to host a reception Tuesday, for its new student exhibition, "Speculative Architecture and Oblique Representation.” The reception is scheduled Tuesday, March 7, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the gallery, located on the second floor of the Memorial Union. It is free and open to the public.

The exhibition features the works of students in NDSU’s Master of Architecture program. The pieces are by students Gretta Berens, Diedrich Harms, Kara Iliff, Natalia Jara, Richard Maas, Bailey Nelson and Aaron Warner, who are currently studying in associate professor of architecture Stephen Wischer’s section of Design Thesis Studio.

Talks featuring each of the exhibiting artists are scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. during the reception.

"This exhibition introduces an ambiguous space where the definition and distinction between art and construction cannot or will not be easily identified." said Anthony Faris, gallery coordinator. "This student exhibition represents an introduction to the thoughtful nature of both that is accessible and engaging."

The exhibition will be on display in the Memorial Union Gallery through March 23.
