Cooperative president to give Bloomquist lecture

The 25th annual Aldrich C. Bloomquist Lectureship Breakfast, presented by NDSU’s Quentin Burdick Center for Cooperatives, is scheduled for Thursday, April 20, at 7 a.m. in the Embassy Hall of the Holiday Inn, Fargo. The lecture is free and breakfast will be provided.

The featured speaker will be Vern Dosch, chief executive officer and president of National Information Solutions Cooperative Inc., who will present “Relevance of the Cooperative Business Model in a Millennial World.”

Before joining National Information Solutions Cooperative Inc., Dosch was general manager of North Central Data Cooperative for seven years. He began his career in the utility business in 1975 with a distribution cooperative in Bismarck, North Dakota.

Dosch is a director at St. Alexius Medical Center Inc. and National Information Solutions Cooperative Inc. He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University of Mary in Bismarck.

The lectureship is named for Al Bloomquist, who had a distinguished career at American Crystal Sugar Co. as president and longtime executive. The lecture series was established in recognition of his contributions to the company and the industry by American Crystal Sugar through the Quentin Burdick Center for Cooperatives.
