NDSU’s College of Business has maintained its business accreditation by AACSB International - the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Founded in 1916, the association is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in business and accounting.

“We’re excited to be reaccredited by AACSB because it indicates our business program has achieved the highest standard of excellence globally and that we are offering students a rigorous and relevant curriculum,” said Scott Beaulier, College of Business dean. “It’s confirmation that what we are doing in the classroom, in our research and in our outreach is impactful on the stakeholders we serve.”

Achieving accreditation is a process of rigorous internal review, engagement with an assigned mentor and peer review. During this multi-year continuous improvement review process, schools focus on developing and implementing a plan to align with the association’s accreditation standards. These standards require excellence in areas relating to strategic management and innovation; student, faculty and staff as active participants; learning and teaching; and academic and professional engagement.

“We commend each institution for their exemplary work in holding the highest honor in business school accreditation,” said Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. “During this peer-review process schools must demonstrate alignment with our global accreditation standards, as well as how they encourage engagement, innovation and impact across the communities they serve.”

The accreditation has been earned by fewer than 5 percent of the world's business schools. Today, there are 786 business schools in 53 countries and territories that have the accreditation.

NDSU’s College of Business has been accredited by the AACSB since 2001.

As a student-focused, land-grant, research university, we serve our citizens.
