NDSU student body president Mason Wenzel is set to throw out the first pitch during “NDSU Night” at an upcoming Minnesota Twins baseball game. The game is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 15, at 7:10 p.m. as the Twins host the Cleveland Indians at Target Field in Minneapolis.

“Throwing the first pitch will be an amazing experience. I am definitely nervous, but this is going to be a once in a lifetime opportunity,” said Wenzel, who is a senior finance major from Grand Forks, North Dakota. “Having NDSU supporters will only make the experience even more fulfilling and exciting. The loyalty of NDSU alumni and fans is incredible. This year, we have so much enthusiasm and excitement from them both. I am proud to be a part of this incredible community.”

He should make his pitch before an enthusiastic crowd of spectators sporting green and yellow Twins caps.

The highly popular “NDSU Night” special offer of the Twins cap with a Bison logo on the side is sold out. A portion of the special ticket package supports the NDSU Foundation and Alumni Association’s mission of philanthropy at NDSU.

Package ticket holders can pick up their Twins cap on the day of the game only at Target Field Station, located around the corner from Gate 6 at the northwest corner of the stadium. A valid ticket purchased through the special promotion must be presented to receive your cap. Pick up begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 7:30 p.m.
