Pulse Day set for July 7 in Minot

This year's Pulse Day at NDSU’s North Central Research Extension Center near Minot, N.D., will be July 7. The program is from 9 a.m. to noon. A lunch will be provided.

Kevin McPhee, associate professor of plant sciences will give a presentation on pulse crop breeding. Brian Jenks, weed scientist, will talk about weed control in pulse crops. Rubella Goswami, assistant professor of plant pathology, will discuss prevalent diseases in pulse crops.

The program also will include Shannon Berndt of the Northern Pulse Growers Association and representatives of Premier Pulse International Inc., JM Grain and Dakota Dry Bean.
